Going for a walk

Levi and I try to get outside everyday... so it happens about 3 times a week. It is fun to see how Levi is growing and starting to understand things. When he gets fussy and nothing inside the house seems to calm him down - I know it's time for our walk. It can be a painful process as I get my shoes and jacket on, as he is screaming, but when he sees me with the stroller or the sling he starts claming down and by the time we leave the house he is relaxed and ready to go (usually). Last night we went for a walk and as I was getting him ready he looked too cute not to take a picture.

A Giggle in the Night

Last night (around 2am?) Levi woke up hungry. After he was done, we all went back to bed. Levi and mom fell asleep a little before I did and as I lay there waiting to drift off, I heard Levi giggle and laugh - must have been a good dream.

Glad it’s Monday!

You know you had a busy weekend when you’re looking forward to Monday. Our weekend was full – all enjoyable things and nothing stressful – just plain busy. I think Tycen, Levi and I gave a sigh of relief when Monday arrived. A normal day – Tycen goes to work, I work around the house and Levi hopefully gets in all his naps and some good play time.

Thank you Monday!

Just In Time For Valentine's Day

Just got this in our Dave Ramsey/Total Money Makeover newsletter and thought some of them were pretty funny.

---------------------------------------------
So there you are, standing alone at a party or gathering. Suddenly you look up and see that perfect partner ... the one you'd love to wow with your suave, cool personality. You take a deep breath, stroll on up and are ready to make your move.

So what's the best way to introduce yourself? Try these pickup lines, especially for fans of Dave Ramsey!
  • I still have money in my "restaurant" envelope ... can I buy you dinner?
  • Would you like to dance? I'd love to show you my Baby Steps.
  • Why am I nervous about talking to you? Because you're better than I deserve.
  • Allow me to introduce myself ... I am "borrower", and you must be "lender".
  • Good thing I just got term life insurance .. because I saw you and my heart stopped!
  • You can't spell Financial Peace University without U and I.
  • I've already kicked Sallie Mae out. Want to take her place?
  • I just bought a bass boat with cash ... and it's a good thing, because you're quite a catch!
  • I'm not mortgage interest, baby ... don't write me off.
  • The good news? I'm debt free. The better news? I'm also date free.
  • What would you say if I asked you out? (response: no). That's not good enough.
